Jeffrey C. Crawford, Ph.D.
Initially trained in clinical psychology, Dr. Crawford specializes in coaching, training and consulting about the emotional side of money and wealth.
A licensed psychologist for over 30 years, Jeff received his bachelors degree, with honors in Psychology, from Austin College, and completed a PhD in clinical psychology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. His career has included practicing psychotherapy, coaching senior executives, and consulting around issues of inter-generational wealth transfer. As an Executive Coach he offered developmental feedback/coaching to hundreds of executives and managers in corporate, family business, and non-profit settings. In working with high net worth families, he has facilitated family communication, consulted to trust creators, and coached inheritors to thrive by integrating the privileges and responsibilities of wealth into their personal identity. He has unique insight into the emotional impact of affluence on inheritors and families.
Throughout his career, Jeff has been an adjunct faculty member at several universities including University of Texas at Dallas and Hawaii Pacific University. He also taught Business Ethics at University of Hawaii and lectured on psychology and economics at δΈεε€§ε¦ (Northeastern University), Shenyang, China.
In addition to his professional practice, Jeff has also worked in a fiduciary role as trustee for family and non-family beneficiaries for over 30 years and as a Director on the Boards of several non-profit organizations. Finally, he has been an active angel investor, providing seed funding to over a dozen startups and early-stage entrepreneurs.
Jeff is a licensed psychologist in the state of Hawaii and member of the Texas Psychological Association, Society for Consulting Psychology, the Purposeful Planning Institute, and the Financial Therapy Association.
